WELCOME TO ERFTCARBON
We are a globally oriented company based in Grevenbroich (Germany) with a company history of more than 100 years. Thinking and acting responsibly towards our approximately 200 employees, most of whom have been with us for many years, is just as important to us as the issue of the environment and the alignment of our perspective towards sustainable, resource-saving economic activity. With our quality products, and as a reliable partner, we make a contribution to more sustainable steel production and will thus continue to be a strong employer in the region.
Graphite electrodes
ERFTCARBON is one of the leading European manufacturers of large-format graphite electrodes for electric steelmaking.
One of our most important corporate goals is to deliver the best quality products that promise perfect performance for our customers all over the world. Your individual requirements are our challenge, which we meet every day with know-how and passion. Only in this way can we produce modern premium products that comprehensively meet not only our requirements, but above all the high demands of our customers.
Circular economy
ERFTCARBON’s high-quality products enable scrap-based electric steel production. This conserves resources and helps to reduce CO2 emissions.
Our graphite electrodes are used for melting down steel scrap with electrical energy in an electric arc furnace. This makes them a relevant piece in the mosaic of the steel circular economy. Steel can be recycled again and again without any loss of quality. Compared to steel production from iron ore in a blast furnace, scrap-based electric steel production is not only more energy-efficient, it also releases less CO2. In this way, we make a valuable contribution to protection of the environment with our products.
